Bob Delozier, was born and raised just a few miles from where R&B Auto and Truck Center is located today – the dealership started by he and his partner Rick Braun.  Like many boys growing up in the Inland Empire, the love of “Off Roading” was in Bob’s blood.

Bob’s passion for off roading started on a Honda 50 Motorcycle at age 6! By the time he was 10, he was racing at local tracks in Corona, Elsinore and Perris.

After completing High School, Bob attended a 3-year trade school for Local Iron Workers 416 in Los Angeles.  Working full-time and attending school, there was little time in his schedule for competitive racing, but the drive to compete only got stronger.

Imagen5Shortly after becoming a Journeyman Union Iron Worker, Bob was asked by a longtime friend, to work for him at his small car lot.  After 6 months the friend fired him. The next day, one of the sales reps working with Bob, Rick Braun, asked Bob to partner in their very own auto business.  Bob and Rick have been partners since 1985!

Sharing a passion for speed, racing and great knowledge of vehicles, made Bob and Rick the perfect business partners

After 30+ years, great friends Bob Delozier and Rick Braun, are still at the helm of their successful car and truck dealership at its original location in Fontana, CA.

Early racing days – Learning how to master the heat and rigors of the off road terrain

While Rick vigorously pursued his NHRA drag racing career, Bob sought out organized off-road races from San Diego to Vegas and Phoenix.  Bob’s favorites however were brutal competitions South of the border across unforgiving terrain – The Baja 500 and Baja 1000

Family support is critical in this grueling sport.  Before Bob had a single sponsor, his wife Jennifer designed this collage as part of a presentation to attract sponsors.

In addition to local small-time series, Bob participated in Southern California District 37 Races.  But it wasn’t until his late 20’s that a friend introduced him to whole new level of racing that tests the skill, determination and strength of the racer – the Baja and SCORE (Southern California Off Road Enthusiasts) series

To this day, Bob’s passion and knowledge for trucks is stronger than ever.  Whether reminiscing excitedly about a challenging race, or seeking out the best specialty, lifted and offroad trucks for an R&B customer, Bob is the ultimate truck enthusiast.

Bob purchased this 2006 Ford Super Duty F-250 Lifted 4X4 PreRunner for the dealership.  It is waiting for just the right Off Road enthusiast.

On weekends, you might catch a glimpse of Bob at either an Off Road Track or enjoying the sand dunes at Glamis, the most popular off-road destination in Southern California
